RODLESS CYLINDERS

From its date of establishment in 1995, Matara has offered a full range of metal to metal seal Rodless Pneumatic Cylinders. During the last 13 years, Matara has successfully taken significant UK Market Share with its no nonsense approach to Rodless Cylinder Manufacture. Owner and founder of Matara, David Chanin has in excess of 22 years Rodless Cylinder experience and three of Matara key technicians also have a combined experience of more than 40 years.

Whilst Matara's Rodless Cylinder is extensive and is largely based on the Originators of the product, many technical enhancements have been made including encoders, linear guides and brakes.

Matara can service and repair all current makes of Rodless Cylinder  and more often than not hold original manufacturers spares and can turn the cylinder around same-day.

The Matara Rodless Cylinder is now fully interchangeable with many other manufacturers. Experience has driven Matara to adapt its product enabling simple retrofit of a competitors product, day or night.

The standard range includes the following:

Unguided Cylinders 16 > 63 bore up to 6 metres long
Guided / Unguided Cylinders with brake and /or encoders

All Cylinders can be supplied with standard or low profile piston mounting (P210/P120 or  OSP-P).

ELZ ELECTRIC ACTUATOR

The robust design of the ELZ offers smooth and consistent travel of carriage combined with high dynamic movement.

The units can be fitted with Matara's proven Linear guidance system and offers consistent and accurate positioning.

All units have a high resistance to dirt and grease and can be supplied as individual units or as a complete package with control system.

The key features of the Matara ELZ is the simple design of the carriage, toothed belt and flexibility offered by the profile of the actuator body. By fitting a Linear Guide enables the ELZ to achieve high dynamic loads.

Any motor can be fitted to any unit, either by direct mounting or via a flange / coupling. Units can be supplied with female drives, male drives and double male drives.

As the drive is rotated by a motor, movement is transmitted to the piston via the belt, Belts are heavy duty polyurethane inpregnated with steel throughout their length.

Unlike many belt actuators the Matara ELZ does not have an exposed belt. A belt tensioning device is fitted to the endcap at the other end of the drive housing.
